Single Family homes in Calgary were just a little more expensive in November when compared to October. The average price was $560,117 in November and $555,251 in October for an increase of less than 1%. The average price is up an impressive 8.6% when compared to November of 2013 when the average price was just $515,491. There were 2,373 active listings in the single family market and there were 1181 sales which is 1 % less than November of last year. The average days on market for single family homes was 38.
As for apartment style condos, the average price in November was $322,486 which was almost identical to the average price in October which was $322,358. For the year over year comparison, last years price in November of 2013 was $307,308 compared to $322,486 in November of this year. This is a much smaller increase of 4.9% in the last year. Total sales in the apartment condo market for November were 324 which is an increase of 7% from 2013. It took an average of 41 days to sell a condo in November.
In the townhouse market prices remained strong with a November average price of $366,013 which is actually a 2.8% decrease from the price in October which was $376,227. There was a 2.1% increase from November of 2013 to November of this year. Sales were way up for townhouses this past month when compared with last November with a whopping 21% increase to 277 sales. Townhouse style condos took about 35 days to sell in November.
